Share and contribute

I haven't written a new post in several years and completely removed this section from the website because I was afraid to share my thoughts and experiences. Afraid of what others might think. Mainly afraid that you, the reader, would think that I think I'm better than you. But I know that's not the case. Everyone is equally valuable, and if we can find what we're good at and contribute that to the world, we're all doing ourselves a favor. Even if it's scary.

I am so grateful to everyone else who shares their tips, experiences, and gems of wisdom they have discovered throughout their lives. Things I can apply to my own life. Things that can save me years and give me a shortcut to a richer life on every level. I am so grateful to everyone who shares and dares to be authentic.

There are so many books, blogs, and videos that have helped me grow as a person. So many people I've talked to during my 19 years as a dietitian have helped me see patterns in why some people succeed in making changes and others don't, why attitude and not illness is the most crucial factor in how sick you feel, and of course how much you can influence your health with your diet.

What I have realized is that you never know who needs to hear what you or I share, something that gives us the right push at just the right moment. That is why I have decided to start sharing lessons learned, experiences, and reflections here again.
