Everyday life has been tough all spring and now summer and holidays are coming. And maybe a feeling of wanting to let go of all ties and obligations, and feel free as a bird for a few weeks? And then all the good intentions regarding food go out the window, now ice cream, alcohol, cakes, desserts and cheese trays rush in. Right? I've seen it happen to many, but far from all.
How do we actually think when we make our decisions? Is the ice cream a reward for all the hard work? How do you think?
Many decisions we make are made on impulse. Perhaps especially when we want to feel free and spontaneous? We are quick to react to thoughts that come. Which might lead to a few extra ice creams or beers in the summer heat? Maybe we're even so quick to react to the thoughts that we don't even notice them?
Whether you choose to eat the ice cream or not is up to you. There is no right or wrong. If you do eat the ice cream, make sure you enjoy it. Have you already made the decision to eat food that makes your body feel as good as possible? If so, maybe you won't fall for the impulse as often? And, almost most importantly, don't feel like you're sacrificing anything!
You can still get that wonderful feeling of freedom during the summer, and maybe give spontaneity some space when it comes to other things?!
